Easy appetizer and a way to lift that tuna a new level. Sometimes tuna can need a kick in the ass in the flavor department and this works if you’re looking for something nice for a get together that is light, easy to eat, easy to make and delicious!

Ingredients

  • Fresh chervil
  • White truffle oil
  • Crostini about 12 pieces
  • Fresh tuna filet 8 oz

Herbed Ricotta:

  • 1 ½ cup Fat free ricotta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Handful chopped basil
  • Handful chopped chives
  • ½ clove of garlic crushed into a paste
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • Pinch of fresh cracked black pepper Combine all ingredients mix carefully and check for seasoning

Directions

Hot pan, canola oil, salt and pepper both sides of the tuna filet and quick sear on each side about 1 min.
Remove and put in the fridge to chill for 20 min.
Take out and slice into 1/8 inch slices.

To assemble put a dollop of the herb ricotta on the crostini, add one slice of the tuna, add a few grains of kosher salt, a small bunch of the chervil and if you want to be decadent add a few drops of white truffle oil. Pop into mouth follow by wine, repeat………nuff said.
