1 servings

Ingredients

  • Good sturdy white bread
  • Mortadella paper thinly sliced
  • Good gooey cheese like a double cream French brie
  • Full sour pickles I used ones in mustard
  • Pickled ginger
  • Butter

Directions

Trim the crust off the bread into some uniform shape like in my picture.

Now start stacking the interior, brie, then mortedella, then pickles, then ginger then more mortedella then more cheese.
Now come the tricky bit…you need something heavy to put some weight on the component so the heat will crisp the bread in the pan.

In a hot pan with a good 3 tablespoons of butter start frying the sandwich and place your heavy object on top now check and when its golden brown turn it over and repeat. When golden brown on both sides put it on a plate and let it rest for at least a minute. Now trim the sides and plate…now the finishing touch… drizzle some honey on it and serve!

This is  delicious and not diet food so i suppose the smaller portion will help with that. What I love about it is a little bit will satisfy you. Give it a shot, try your own filling, just remember the point is to get that bread nice and crunchy and without the butter it won’t work.

Remember this is not diet food so don’t skimp!

Enjoy…
