Ingredients
- 1/2 pound of Confit duck of some other protein that is rich in flavor that is cooked already in a minced form
- 1 carrot
- One small shallot
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
- ½ stalk celery
- 1/2 cup Honey
- teaspoon Sesame seeds
Directions
Combine the shallot, carrot, garlic and celery in a food processor and blend until it’s a crud like consistency.
Now with a little olive oil sweat that mixture in a pan with a little Chinese five spice. Then add the duck or protein of your choice and mix together then set a side.
Now take full sheets of egg roll wrapper and cut in half. Line some of that mixture on the egg roll and egg wash the corners and roll tight like a cigar and repeat with the rest of the filling.
Fry at 375 until golden brown and serve with honey sesame sauce. Mix honey and sesame seeds in a pot heat through.
